Curt's Garlic Knots with Mom's Dough Recipe

Mom's Pizza Dough Made Into Garlic Knots....

One of our favorite appetizers before a big meal on Sunday's. It's a family tradition. We just can't eat a big pasta dinner without these. Here's what I use on mine:

1 package of Mom's Pizza Dough Recipe or store bought around 1 pound bag
4 tablespoon melted butter
3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
1 teaspoon each:  dried oregano, basil, garlic powder, parsley
salt and pepper to taste
cayenne pepper to taste
1/4 cup parmesan cheese
ziplock bag

Take pieces of the dough roll into ropes and then tie them in a knot, using around three inches of dough to do that for each one. Place on a  greased cookie sheet to rise 1/2 hour. Bake on 400 degree oven until brown. While they are cooking get the bag ready to shake them in.
Pour all the ingredients in a ziplock bag. Add cooked  warm garlic knots shake them in the bag while warm. If the garlic knots look a little dry baste them with more melted butter.

Dear Curt, I love these. The only trouble is they are like potato chips. you cannot eat just one!
Please say hi to your mom for me.

Curt, they look more like rolls instead of knots to me...but either way, I just love it with all the garlic, cheese and spices, and the convenient way to make them from the ready made pizza dough from Publix!

I will check out your mom's pizza dough recipe to make homemade. Thanks for sharing:) xo
These are soooooo Good when you get them right out of the oven. It's like eating M&M's they melt in your mouth! :)

They are very Easy to make so stop by publix or visit moms blog and get cooking :)

I made these (I think the recipe was from the CNYEats Taste of UTica book?) and INHALED them! Love the doughy, bready-ness of the knots. Unfortunately, there is absolutely no self control when I see something like this.
