Well I suppose you think this is the same ole same ole recipe for stuffed french toast. Some of it is the same ingredients but better. Check out my version here.!
Mascarpone cheese room temperature 8 ounces
Assorted preserves of choice: blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, marmalade or Nutella etc.
1 stick loaf of bread (french bread, cuban bread or other long loaf of your choice)
1 cup half and half
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
butter and olive oil
Heat a large heavy duty fry pan with 2 tablespoon butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil on low.
In a large pie plate beat eggs, half and half, cinnamon. Slice the bread around 2 inches thick. Spread one side of the bread with mascarpone cheese, spread with your favorite preserves or Nutella, top with another thickly sliced piece of bread and make a sandwich.
Dip into the egg mixture.
Turn the heat to medium. Fry and both sides until golden brown.
We like fresh pureed fruits instead of syrup, that's your choice how you would like to serve it.
